Lewis County is currently seeking proposal for interested and qualified contractors to complete commercial 3 Coat Epoxy Floor System at the Lewis County Public Safety Building located on Outer Stowe St. in Lowville. Project Overview: Project area consists of approximately 7,800 sq ft. Mechanically abrade the concrete and remove the existing coating by either diamond grinding and/or shot blasting. Strip VCT, approximately 750 sq ft. Install a cove/cant at all floor/wall joints. Approximately 2000 linear feet. Fill any and all low spots and surface cracks with epoxy fill material prior to coating. Adjust all floor drains and cleanouts to be flush to floor. Apply commercial 3-coat epoxy system up to the 1st block joint. Three phase power is available on-site, contractor will need to supply roughly 250 feet of cord to get to work area. Tentative project date is February/March 2023 to coincide with outboarding of inmates for an existing HVAC project. Prevailing wages.
