The Virginia Department of Transportation, herein referred to as “VDOT”, an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia, is soliciting bids from qualified Virginia Licensed Class A Contractors with a Highway Heavy specialty to provide on-call, as needed hourly rental of equipment with operators and skilled laborers to perform general maintenance operations, incidental construction and critical/urgent repair work on the routes listed below Montgomery and Pulaski during the contract period in accordance with the specifications contained herein. Route I-81 beginning at the Wythe/Pulaski County Line, ending at the Montgomery/Roanoke County Line, and Rte 460, beginning at Exit 118-A,B,C, I-81, and ending at the Intersection w/ North Main Street. The initial term or period of the contract shall be for a two (2) year period with the effective date to be determined at time of award, with (3) successive on (1) year optional Renewals. SBE documentation required.
