Furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all work necessary and incidental to the construction of the project known as Fruitvale Ave and Allendale Ave Traffic Signals Improvements. Existing base and bituminous surfacing shown on the plans to be removed shall be removed to a depth as shown on plans below the grade of the existing surfacing. Resulting holes and depressions shall be backfilled with earthy material selected from excavation to the lines and grade established by the Engineer. Removal of existing asphalt concrete and base work shall consist of excavation and removal of asphalt concrete, base and subsoil to design subgrade as shown on the plans. This work shall include saw-cutting as needed and disposal of asphalt concrete and aggregate base.
