Generally, the project includes improvement located near the entrance to Quantico, Triangle, VA. The Fuller Road-Fuller Heights Road Improvement Project involves improvements to Fuller Road, the access road to the Quantico Marine Corps Base, a new left-turn lane along Joplin Road onto northbound Route 1, conversion of the existing left-turn lane to a thru lane and the re-aligning of Fuller Heights Road Intersection to maximize the crossover spacing with Route 1. The new relocated intersection will provide north and southbound access via a roundabout located at the intersection of Fuller Heights Road and Old Triangle Road. Major project features include: 1) roadway widening and reconstruction, 2) storm drainage improvements, 3) precast arch structure, 4) a roundabout, and 5) a new traffic signal and a signal modification. The Work includes, but is not limited to, installation of erosion control devices, clearing and grubbing, grading, excavation, supplying and installing storm sewers pipes, waterline, traffic signals, signage, pavement markings, lighting, drainage structures, ditches, curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, asphalt paving, mill and overlaying, and all measures required for the maintenance of traffic during construction. Final Completion within 420 days from Notice to Proceed. DBE goal 12%. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
