The project involves the abandonment of (2) separate well sites with a total of (3) wells. Abandoning the well sites includes well destruction, demolition of existing storage tanks and existing facilities, and removal of contaminated soils. The underground pipes are to be removed and disposed of per state and federal regulations. The wells are to be abandoned per, Project Plans, Sutter County Environmental Health, California Department of Water Resources Bulletin 74-81 and 74-90 and all relevant federal, state, and local regulations. The well sites will contain lead paint and Asbestos Cement Pipe (ACP). The contractor is responsible for proper handling and disposal of all equipment, materials, soils, etc.
