The Scope of Work for this project includes furnishing all labor and materials for the installation and testing of six (6) Upper Floridan aquifer (UFA) test wells and three (3) Upper Floridan aquifer (UFA) observation wells. The proposed wells are located in the City of Cape Coral, Lee County, Florida Contract Drawing/Specification - See Bid Attachment - (Figure 1). The purpose of the drilling and testing of the wells is to provide hydrogeologic data to be used in the possible expansion of the City’s public water supply (PWS) brackish groundwater wellfields. In addition, the scope includes the plug back of up to four (4) existing CITY reverse osmosis (RO) water supply wells, and the removal of obstructions, at various depths, in up to two (2) CITY RO supply wells. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5 percent (5%) of Bidder’s maximum Bid price in the form of a certified check, bank money order, or a Bid bond (on the form included in the Bidding Documents) issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraphs 6.01 and 6.02 of the General Conditions This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
