Horry County

Owner Reference: P038760

Bid Date: 11/10/2020 at 02:00pm

Only bids from Prequalified Contractors will be accepted through BidExpress at www.bidxpress.com. Notice is hereby given that the SCDOT will accept electronic bid proposals for the highway improvements. Pavement markings at the intersection should be addressed by applying stop limit lines on the new stop approaches and, if needed, replacing the existing stop lines on the old stop approaches. Omit replacing existing markings if they must be removed in a subsequent step, as when reversing stop control. Approximately two weeks prior to the date of the intended establishment of roundabout control, signs (R24-6-36) should be erected on all intersection approaches giving notice that yield control will be effective on a specific date. The signs may be erected below or adjacent to the STOP signs on the stop approaches and 100 feet to 200 feet in advance of the intersection on the through (uncontrolled) approaches. On all roadways, apply and place white stop bars and white triangle yield bars in all locations where previous stop bars and triangle yield bars have been eradicated by the work. Apply and place white stop bars and white triangle yield bars at intersections controlled by stop and yield signs within 72 hours of the eradication of the original pavement marking. Apply and place white stop bars at signalized intersections controlled by traffic control signals and at railroad crossings prior to reopening a closed travel lane to traffic. Bond is required please refer to documents for further details. This project encouraged M/WBE participation.
