The scope of work included within this Contract involves repair/replacement of 23 existing Air Release Valve (ARV) Assemblies and vaults situated at various locations along the City of Orlando`s Intra-System force main system which varies in size from 16-inch to 24-inch in diameter connecting the City`s Master Lift Station 1/7, Master Lift Station 5, and various smaller lift stations within the City`s system. Work at each ARV assembly varies by location as detailed in the drawings, but generally includes a combination of removal and replacement of existing air release valves, service piping, appurtenances, force main piping, valves, valve vaults, and rehabilitation of valve vaults. This project also includes installation of two (2) 18-inch plug valves within the intersection of America Street and Lucerne Terrace. Work at this location includes removal and replacement of approximately 24 linear feet of 18-inch Ductile Iron force main with 18-inch PVC force main, and installation of two (2) 18-inch plug valves. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
