This project entails the comprehensive modernization of two 7-stop, 2,500 lb. capacity, 200 fpm, passenger elevators, operating as a duplex group. The Joseph H. McDonald House is an elderly and disabled apartment community owned and operated by the Northampton Housing Authority and is located at 49 Old South Street in central Northampton, MA. This project contemplates the comprehensive modernization of the existing basement traction elevators in the subject building. All “work by others” scope associated with the elevator modernization work, such as building electrical work, HVAC work, fire alarm work, generator work, etc. shall be performed by the Owner in conjunction with the elevator modernization project.
