Taylor County will receive sealed bids for the Controls Retrofit of the Taylor County Juvenile Detention Facility at 889 South 25th Street. This requires a turn-key project. Proposer will not be responsible for the existing plant wiring to and from the control electronics sub-system, only the wiring once the wires are brought into the sub-panels. As this is a retrofit of an existing jail control system this substructure is already in place and should not require replacement. In addition, it is assumed that the existing locks, locking mechanisms, and door position circuitry are in good working order. Any malfunctions or alignment issues are considered outside the scope of work. • All aspects of the facility’s control system shall be replaced. (software and hardware to operate system) • Replace all failed/suspect controls and panels and integrate the existing endpoints (doors, intercoms, etc.) into a new control system. • New control relays should be installed to replace older aging relays. • Install all required power supplies, control electronics, controllers, and any other hardware to control the facility as described. • Vendor will use the existing intercom speakers, existing wiring, door locks, door mechanisms, and door feedback devices. • The County is currently in the process of replacing the Facility locks, coordinate with Juvenile Staff and lock vendor may be required for everything to communicate correctly. See attached for detailed requirements. Bonds may be required dependent upon bid value. Included in pricing: All project management, design engineering, programming, labor for installation, testing, training, travel expenses, verification of system, and ancillary expenses required. Bonds required.
