The work shall consist of constructing four bridges:1) Eldred Township, T-850 Caleb’s Creek Road, 2) Hepburn Township, T-489 Klump Road, 3) Limestone Township, T-305 Mill Road, 4) Muncy Township, T-516 Auchmuty Road. Bridges include four aluminum boxes, two constructed with invert plates and two constructed on spread footings. All bridges will include headwalls and wingwalls. Lycoming County previously purchased all the structures. Contractor shall install E&S measures, divert stream flows, protect existing utilities, demolish and remove existing bridges, return selected components to Townships and properly dispose of the remainder, excavate for foundations or bridge bottoms, headwalls and wing walls, including bedrock where applicable. Contractor to set foundations/bridge inverts below the stream bottom and backfill with flowable fill. Place and compact stone backfill behind and around bridges and wing walls. Stabilize the bridge corners and wingwalls with riprap. Restore roads as designed. Set guiderail and traffic control signage. Control traffic, perform all necessary incidental work, provide all necessary appurtenances and restore site to original condition. Bonds and Prevailing Wages.
