Work of the project involves: Partial removal of the bridge deck and sidewalk at existing strip joint seal assemblies at Abutments 1 and 5. Removal of existing strip joint seal assemblies and installation of new strip joint seal assemblies at Abutments 1 and 5. Replacement of elastomeric bearings at both abutments, including jacking and temporary support of the bridge superstructure, removal and replacement of sidewalk joint armor at both abutments, and resetting of curb plates at both abutments. The location of work is on the Marconi Avenue Overhead between Kenwood St. and Marconi Circle. The bridge alignment is straight and is oriented roughly from northwest to southeast. For purposes of this project, it will be assumed to be west to east, with Abutment 1 at the west end and Abutment 5 at the east end. The west approach to the overhead carries Arcade Blvd; the east approach carries Marconi Ave (the name changes near the east abutment). The overhead crosses (from west to east) the Sacramento Regional Transit Blue Line (two tracks), the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR)(2 tracks) and Auburn Blvd. Project duration is 90 working days. Questions are due no later than 5:00 PM on Oct 27th. 5% Local Business Enterprise (LBE) participation requirement.
