The work to be performed shall include replacing 18” reinforced concrete pipe (RCP), 18” high density polyethylene (HDPE), and 24” corrugated metal pipe (CMP) with 24” RCP and 36” RCP. Two catch basins will be replaced. One additional catch basin and two headwalls are also included as part of the project. Note that the proposed 24” RCP, 30” RCP, three (3) catch basins and two (2) headwalls will be provided by the Authority. The Contractor will be responsible for providing all other materials required for the project. The work will be installed as required and shown on the plans for the Mark Lane Stormwater Improvement Project, prepared by Douglasville-Douglas County Water and Sewer Authority. All bids must be accompanied by adequate bid security (certified check, bid bond, or irrevocable letter of credit) drawn in favor of the Authority and in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, which shall be subject to forfeiture as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fail to promptly enter into the proposed contract for performance of the Project with the Authority.
