The Town of Oyster Bay intends to add drainage structures and increase pipe size to increase the capacity of the existing drainage systems in the Brockmeyer Drive, Clearwater Avenue, and Iroquois Place area. Stormwater treatment structures will be added to clean road runoff and inline check valves to prevent tidal backflow. A bioswale area will be created on the Brockmeyer Place drainage system to hold stormwater and remove contaminants and sediment. The dead end on Iroquois Place will be regrade to prevent ponding. All repairs will be made to curbs, sidewalks, driveways and the roadways will be milled and resurfaced. These improvements will address stormwater drainage issues and tidal backflow that has occurred during past storms and high tides.Bonds required. Prevailing wages apply. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
