Medical District Drainage Tunnel Extension at Ehrhardt St - City of Charleston SC

The City has identified a need to complete construction of a stormwater tunnel and drop shaft structure that will service a portion of the Medical District. The Ehrhardt Tunnel will be connected to the Spring Fishburne US 17 Drainage Tunnel System at the existing Cannon St Shaft. This portion of the project will include the following: utility relocation, pavement replacement and installation of temporary site fencing. Development, installation, and upkeep of applicable sediment and erosion control plan. Development, installation, and upkeep of applicable traffic control plan. Support of excavation design supporting the installation of one 54-inch outside diameter (OD) drilled drop shaft. Construction of one 54-inch OD drilled drop shaft that will have an invert elevation of approximately -130 feet. Support of excavation design supporting the installation of a vortex structure. Construction of vortex structure that connects surface collection to drilled drop shaft. Construction of a tunnel bulkhead in President St. Tunnel Development, installation, and support of the tunnel breakout at the existing operational Cannon St. Shaft Construction of approximately 900 linear feet of 8-feet inner diameter (ID) cast-in-place concrete tunnel Layout and installation of surface drainage collection piping and structures and connection of this piping to the vortex structure. Site restoration and improvements. Compliance with permitting and project approval requirements. All other appurtenant work. licenses, Bonds, Insurance and wages apply
