This Contract is to decommission the California Air Resources Board (CARB) heavy-duty (HD) emissions testing laboratory located in Building 3 Bays 23 and 24, Metropolitan Transit Authority (hereafter, Metro) Support Services facility, 470 Bauchet St., Los Angeles, CA 90012. Under the Contract, the decommissioning work includes disconnection of electrical and plumbing lines to the equipment (as detailed in Tasks 1 and 2, Sections 2.2 and 2.3); uninstallation of the equipment that requires mechanical and building related work (as detailed in Task 3, Section 2.4); packaging some of the uninstalled equipment (as detailed in Task 4, Section 2.5); and appropriate disposal of the uninstalled equipment (as detailed in Task 5, Section 2.6). The overall goal of this Contract is to remove all equipment from the laboratory space (i.e., Building 3 Bays 23 and 24), except for the equipment listed under the Section 2.7. As detailed in the Section 3, CARB Staff will have a walk-through to determine the acceptance of laboratory decommissioning work under this Contract. Questions due 6/1/22. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
