Onslow County was impacted by Hurricane Florence. More specifically, the New River Waterfront Park sustained moderate damage due to the Hurricane. Staff made temporarily safety repairs; however, repair work is needed to bring the boardwalk and the bulkhead back to pre-storm condition. The repairs include, but are not limited to, removing and replacing the boardwalk, boardwalk decking and landscaping posts, and the deck onto the river. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
