The Houston County Board of Commissioners (Owner) is seeking a Request for Proposal (RFP) from qualified firms interested in providing Construction Management “at Risk” services as the Construction Management “at Risk” firm (CM/GC) for a project known as Project Bid # 20-22, New State Court Expansion. The proposed Project is a 46,945+/- SF multi-story facility with a program focus on Courtrooms, Jury Selection, Jury Rooms, Inmate Elevator & Secure Corridor, Secure Holding Cells, Judge’s Chambers, Offices, Passenger Elevator, File Rooms, Conference Rooms, Restrooms and Administrative Areas. The facility will include Site Grading, Storm Drainage, Excavation, Landscaping and an Underground Tunnel connected to the existing Facility’s Tunnel. This project will be an addition to an existing facility that will remain operational during the Construction Phase of the project and designed with similar materials and detailing compatible with the existing facility. Project includes Structural Cast-in-Place Foundation, Class “A” Structural Steel Frame, Bar Joist, Metal Deck and Light-Gauge Metal Framing Systems. The Building Envelope and exterior of facility includes Fluid-Applied Weather Barrier, Architectural Precast Concrete, Storefront Framing/Glazing System, Curtainwall System, Brick Veneer, Cast Stone, Architectural Standing Seam Metal Roof, Modified Bitumen Roofing System, Equipment Screens, Architectural Lights and other features. Interior Finishes for this project will be similar to existing facility and include Insulation, PreFinished Doors, Sound Doors, Detention Doors, Metal Stud Framing, Drywall, Acoustical Ceiling Systems, Acoustical Wall Panels, Architectural Cabinetry & Casework, Architectural Trim/Paneling, Carpet, Tile, Resilient Flooring, Toilet Accessories, Specialties and Blinds/Shade Systems. The Building Systems include Fire Suppression, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Data & Communications, Electronic Safety & Security, and Audio Visual. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
