Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment needed to replace identified area of fencing at the Oakwood Cemetery located along S. Genesee Street / S. Sheridan Road (Illinois Route 137) at 10th Street in the City of Waukegan. The contractor shall excavate and remove identified areas of fencing, including gate openings. The City of Waukegan estimates approximately 850 lineal feet of 5’ chain link fence, posts, one double swing chain link gate, hardware and foundation to be removed and replaced. Contractor shall dispose of any concrete, asphalt, aggregates, ground/soil, etc. that requires removal during this project. The City of Waukegan reserves the right to keep any existing gates, fence, and hardware material. The contractor shall install new fence posts to support 5’ fencing and gates into concrete posts. The new fence posts should be installed at a minimum, 4 ½ feet into the ground or as specified by the manufacturer. The contractor shall install (1) one 5-foot height, 16-foot double swing gate at the Oakwood Cemetery driveway along S. Genesee Street / S. Sheridan Road. This work shall include removal, disposal, furnishing, installation, grading, compaction, and maintenance of earth excavation, clearing and grubbing, topsoil, fertilizer, erosion control blankets, seed, compaction, and supplemental watering as required to restore damaged landscape elements, and/or as specified by the Engineer. This work shall be incidental to the fence removal and installation. The contractor shall submit any and all documentation relating to this project such as manuals, manufacturer’s warranties, etc. to the Engineer at the time of bidding for review and approval. The City of Waukegan is interested in obtaining an additional bid for fencing at Stiner Pavilion located at the Waukegan Beach. Please see supplemental exhibit one pager entitled “Stiner Pavilion” attached to this bid package for layout. Final layout to be determined in the field by the Engineer. The contractor shall install new fence posts to support estimated 200 LF of 4’ fencing, one 4’ pedestrian gate, and one 16’ double swing gate into concrete posts. The new fence posts should be installed at a minimum, 4 ½ feet into the ground or as specified by the manufacturer. Contractor shall dispose of any concrete, asphalt, aggregates, ground/soil, etc. that requires removal during this project. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
