The Water Department of the City of Santa Cruz (City) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from consultants,individuals or firms (Consultant), who provide utility locating services with a focus on public infrastructure projects. The City has a utility locator on staff that marks horizontal and vertical locations of underground utilities, and crews capable of potholing; the purpose of this solicitation is for Consultant to augment these City resources for routine and emergency projects. The City intends to award an 11-month on-call contract for as-needed utility locating services during Fiscal Year 2021, with an option to renew.Due to the on-call nature of the work, no specific work is guaranteed and the scope of work will vary as-needed.
