Cortland County wishes to establish communications infrastructure between the County Office Building (COB) at 60 Central Avenue, Cortland, NY and 111 Port Watson Street, Cortland, NY. To that end, we are seeking proposals to run fiber optic cables from the COB to this site. The successful bidder will provide a 48 strand fiber cable between the two sites. All site survey and makeready work will be incorporated into the successful bidder’s proposal. The shortest path following city streets is approximately .5 miles. The County has a fiber run that passes directly in front of the building and will be used as we already have rights on those poles. The successful vendor will determine what additional poles will be needed to effect attachment to the desired location. Deadline for questions is May 16, 2022 by 4:00pm. Prevailing wages.
