A pre-proposal meeting will be held at the White County Parks and Recreation Department on Wednesday September 19, 2022 at 10:00 AM. Site visits will be available after the Pre-Proposal meeting.

The White County Board of Commissioners is requesting sealed proposals from qualified contractors to provide gym roof restoration services at the White County Parks and Recreation Department. The White County Board of Commissioners is requesting sealed proposals from qualified contractors to provide gym roof restoration services at the White County Parks and Recreation Department, 327 Asbestos Rd. Cleveland, GA 30528. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and materials, and perform all operations necessary to remove and install roofing materials. The contractor will be responsible for measurements and is responsible for accuracy of the measurements and the fit of the work. Contractor shall provide layout plans, work plans and schedules, to be approved by White County staff. White County is requesting pricing on two options Option A and Option B for the Parks and Recreation Gym Roof Restoration. White county will consider one of these options. OPTION A Contractor shall: a. Thoroughly clean and power wash roof to promote positive adhesion. b. Remove sealants from penetrations, fasteners and prior repairs as necessary to prepare for fluid applied system c. Apply approximately 1.0 inch of 2.8 pound closed cell spray polyurethane foam insulated roofing system to all end laps, fasteners, flashings, pipe boots, penetrations and potential problem areas d. Apply white energy star rated acrylic roof coating to entire foamed area as well as the entire roof surface; 2 coats Application rate: 2 gallons per SQ (15 year warranty) e. Edges are to be masked to provide a clean, neat, straight-edged appearance f. Company to provide access for duration of project g. Customer to provide access to water h. 15 year warranty and no leak guarantee on entire roofing system; no dollar limit i. The county will provide a dumpster for disposal of roofing materials. OPTION B Contractor shall: a. Remove all existing wall flashing from behind the existing Rpanel siding and existing roofing. b. Install new, custom made, oversized wall flashing in order to extend over hand to roofing c. Mechanically fasten and seal with weather foam stripping and high-quality solar seal qualking d. Clean job site and perform a water test to ensure leak correction e. The county will provide a dumpster for disposal of roofing materials.
