The County of Mercer requests bids for Pavement Restoration (Milling and Paving) of Whitehorse Mercerville Road (CR533) located in Hamilton Township, Mercer County. The project will include the repair/replacement of all inlets and, manholes, utility valves etc. (all iron work), the work will be done entirely at night (from 9 pm to 5 am). One lane of traffic in each direction shall be maintained throughout the project. Entrance to driveways and side streets shall not be blocked at any time. The contractor shall be responsible for arranging and paying for providing Asphalt Testing as required by NJDOT local Aid handbook. It is the responsibility of the contractor to arrange for traffic control and police protection. The contractor will submit detailed traffic control plans for approval by the County. The project will be constructed under a single prime contract. Project Substantial Completion: Work will commence within Ten (10) Calendar Days after receipt of written "Notice to Proceed" and be substantially completed within fourteen (14) calendar days from the receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Deadline for questions is May 25, 2022 by 4:00pm. This Contract includes a goal of awarding ten percent (10%) of the total contract price to subcontractors qualifying as a set- a-side (30% MBE; 30% WBE; 30% VOB/DVOB and 10% SBE). The MBE’s/WBE/VOB/DVOB and SBE must be certified by the State of New Jersey. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
