It is the intent of the City of Rochester to establish a contract for Plumbing, Water Service Replacement and Related Work at various residential dwellings and commercial business locations within the City of Rochester, as ordered by the City of Rochester. The work to be done under this contract includes, but not limited to:replacement of existing 3/4” water service lines, replacement of curb boxes, pit excavation, backfill, surface restoration, connection at the water meter, snake drains, snake sewers, install, replace and repair water service. The contractor shall supply all labor, equipment, transportation and materials to perform work. Materials may include, but not limited to: classified fill, sand, stone, concrete, asphalt, and topsoil. A bid bond in an amount equal to five (5%) percent of the bid price shall be furnished with each bid. At its option, the City shall have the right to accept cash, certified check or a letter of credit in satisfaction of this requirement. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
