A. This is a single-provider on-call service Agreement for the positive location of underground utility facilities. B. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, parts, and equipment necessary to provide routine positive location services using vacuum excavation, hand excavation, electronic detection, ground penetrating radar, and/or comparable methods acceptable to Caltrans Contract Manager and the utility facility owner, in order to locate underground utilities, and to perform related services (as described in this Agreement). Contractor will provide the actual location at any specific point, including horizontal alignment and vertical depth. The utilities include, but not limited to: petroleum, data transmission, telephone, gas, electric, water and sewer pipelines. In special circumstances, and only when authorized by Caltrans Contract Manager in writing, Contractor may use specialized equipment or other approved methods to determine the location of utilities under this Agreement. C. Location of services to be performed include various public or private locations in Siskiyou, Trinity, Modoc, Shasta, Lassen, Tehama, and Plumas Counties, within the designated service area. These services only apply to projects administered by Caltrans Division of Right of Way and Land Surveys. Any area that is outside of Caltrans District 1 is not part of this Agreement. Questions due 11/23/22. Term is through 3/13/25. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
