The City of Cape Coral, Florida is seeking to Prequalify Contractors normally engaged in the removal of Exotic Trees/Vegetation (primarily Peppertrees). Any Contractor wishing to be prequalified for the work must complete the Request for Qualification and be approved by the City of Cape Coral for bidding. No Invitation to Bid (ITB) will be accepted by the City of Cape Coral unless the contractor submitting such bid has been prequalified in accordance with these procedures. All prequalified Contractors will be notified when the Invitation(s) to Bid (ITB) are advertised. Contractors may bid on any or all Zones with Select Removals and additionally, may bid on Complaint Removals. One or more Contractors will be awarded work based on the bids for the different Zones with Select Removals and Complaint Removals. This RFQ does not guarantee the amount of work to be bid out each year, but the City is projecting Complaint Removal Purchase Orders totaling approximately $200,000 to $250,000 per fiscal year and three (3) Zones with Select Removals per fiscal year, each totaling approximately $200,000 to $250,000. Complaint Removal bids and Zones with Select Removal bids shall include initial removal, immediate herbicide application at the time of removal, a second application of herbicide 90 days after the original removal, leveling, debris removal, and other associated tasks as described in the Specifications of each ITB. All tasks will be incidental in the price bid per aerial square foot of canopy removed.
