Standby Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection Professional Services are a recurring program that provides professional services on an “as needed-task assignment” basis for a variety of projects. Dream is responsible for building operations and maintenance, grounds maintenance, capital building construction and renovation, facilitating the design, construction and maintenance of high quality county roads, drainage systems, bridges and the County’s transportation fleet along with land sales, leases, and acquisitions. The services being sought under this Request for Proposals (RFP) are professional in nature. The evaluation of the proposals will be based on consideration of the demonstrated responsiveness to RFP criteria as described below. To be considered, Proposers must possess, and be prepared to provide, expertise, resources and personnel experienced in the various phases of planning, design and engineering. Under the Standby Contract, the Proposer shall furnish all design, labor, materials and equipment needed to perform the work. In addition, the County desires to obtain LEED Silver ratings for new construction projects. In the event that sufficient funding is not available to pursue LEED Silver ratings for individual projects, the County desires that site and building designs are developed to maximize energy efficiency and water conservation. Project designs shall minimize adverse environmental impact through energy efficiency, resource conservation, water conservation, site design, and excellent indoor air quality. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
