The Georgia World Congress Center Authority (“Authority”)will receive responses on behalf of the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center from construction companies for a public restroom renovation. The purpose of this Scope of Work is to initiate the project that consists of the demolition and construction of the Men’s and Women’s public restrooms that are the River Concourse Restrooms, Chapel Restrooms, Auditorium Restrooms, Exhibit Hall A Restrooms, Administration, and 200’s Restrooms at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center throughout the contract period, as specified herein. Demolition Work- Remove all existing wall tile, floor tile, and sheetrock that is currently in each restroom and dispose of all material according to all state and federal laws. Recycling as much as possible and reporting numbers to SGCCA representative. Tile work in the areas will consist of 12” x 24” cooperative sedimentary stone porcelain (T-03) for the bathroom floor tile. Flooring will be prepped to accept new floor tile after demolition. Floor tiles will be laid left to right lengthwise as you enter the restroom. Grout joints to be 1/8 inch cementitious grout. Wall tiles will consist of 3” x 12” sassuolo stone tones (T-09) and placed in a vertical position throughout the restroom. This wall tile will run throughout all exhibit hall and public space restrooms unless otherwise stated. Grout joints to be 1/8 inch cementitious grout. In addition the public space restrooms will have a different tile at the vanity wall. In these restrooms there will be Sonoma penny rounds (T-11) run left to right on the wall. At 4 inches above the countertop there will be a 1ft. run of Sonoma penny round (T12) run left to right on the wall. Then the T-11 will start over and go up another 1ft. 4inches then there will be another 1 ft. run of the T-12. Then start back up with the T-11 all the way to the ceiling. Cementitious grout will apply to these as well. All wall tile will be mounted on backer board that will be installed on all walls after the demo work has been completed. Grout colors to be selected from Manufacturer’s full range. Sanded grout for all floor applications and un-sanded grout for all wall applications. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
