The City is seeking construction services of a State of Florida Certified GC or General roofing contractor to provide permitting, labor and construction services for the Maintenance Operations Administration Building for roof replacement. Replacement of existing 2925 sq. ft. flat tar and gravel roof over the City of New Smyrna Beach, Maintenance Operations Administration Building, located at 124 Industrial Park Avenue. The existing roof is tar and gravel over lightweight concrete on top of a corrugated steel deck. Existing roof is approximately 45 years old. A location map is provided as an attachment in Section 10 along with the core testing from June of 2022. Note that this building will be continuously occupied by the public and City staff during construction. Project includes complete removal and disposal of existing roof material, installation of new roof using 80 Mil TPO roofing material, or equivalent, over insulation fully adhered with TPO bonding adhesive with heat welded seams including TPO pipe, vent, drain and inside/outside corner flashings. •Contractor will be responsible to meet all Florida Building Codes. Contractor shall be responsible for all permits from the City to accomplish this work. • All roof penetrations shall be protected. • Required warranty: 5 years on labor; 20 year material warranty. The bidder agrees to commence work within Ten (10) Calendar Days after the date of the Notice to Proceed letter, and shall complete the work within Three Hundred and Sixty Five (365) Days thereafter.
