The Project scope includes the following:Perform all Work required to rehabilitate three (3) Flocculation and Sedimentation Basins at the Penitencia Water Treatment Plant Equipment Demolition and Removal:(1) Demolish and remove all components of each existing basin including, but not limited to: (a) Rails and supporting brackets (b) Drive chain and flights (c) Floor wear strips (d) Sprockets and bearings (e) Drive Shafts (f) Drive Motors (g) Sludge Launder troughs and its supports (h) Sludge draw off valves and piping (2) Demolish and remove the existing paddle reels, shafts and bearings. (3) Demolish and remove the existing wood baffle wall panels. (4) Demolish and remove the existing tube settler modules. b. Remove existing basin concrete top-coating and surface repair and prepare mortar base-coating: (1) Provide National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) Level III certified inspection oversight for all basin coating removal and surface preparation work. (2) Remove existing concrete epoxy top-coating from all three (3) flocculation and sedimentation basins without removing and/or disturbing concrete mortar base-coating. (3) Repair all anomalies and/or deteriorated areas of the remaining concrete mortar base-coating and prepare the mortar-based coating for exposed service. Prevailing wages.
