Regular rehabilitation and testing are essential to maintaining the water transmitting capabilities of the pressure relief wells and to ensure that they are functioning as designed during high stage events. The relief well maintenance program typically consists of well rehabilitation to remove excess sediment and debris that accumulates in the well and reduces the well’s efficiency with time, followed by pumping tests to assess the efficiency of the well to transmit groundwater. Due to physical constraints, the drain trench scope will be limited to high pressure cleaning and flushing. Questions are due no later than 12:00 PM on Oct 25th.
