The NYS Thruway Authority is inviting bids for the labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the Replacement of the Warners Road Bridge over I-90 at Milepost 292.49 in Onondaga County in accordance with the Plans and Specifications. The following is a general description of the work to be done under this Contract: Establish and perform work zone traffic control as noted in the contract plans and as ordered by the engineer. Install temporary erosion and sediment control measures. Remove and dispose of the existing superstructure and guide signs (bridge mounted). girder removals shall be done during nighttime intermittent traffic stoppages. Remove and dispose of existing substructures: The existing North Pier (Pier I) to top of footing and North Abutment (begin abutment) and footing. The existing Center Pier (Pier 2) and footing. The existing South Pier (Pier 3) to top of footing and South Abutment (End Abutment) and footing. Locate existing fiber Optic underground line using one or more test pits under Item 206.05. Excavate for proposed substructures (Begin and End Abutments, and Center Pier). Construct Begin and End Abutments and Center Pier and Backfill. Reconstruct shoulders of I-90 east and west as shown in the contract documents. Complete erection of the proposed steel. girders shall be erected during nighttime shutdown utilizing rolling closure of both directions of mainline I-90. Construct bridge deck & deck topside features. Backfill front of abutments & center pier, install guide rail on I- 90, grade and restore I-90 median and outside shoulder area. Construct Begin and End Approach slabs install Approach drainage (curbing and stone lined ditches). Install new pavement markings and signs as shown on the contract plans. Remove temporary erosion control measures after turf establishment. Remove detour signing and open Warners Road to traffic. Completion date is October 31, 2024. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
