he work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all equipment, labor, and material for resurfacing the proposed roads using one of two methods. Method 1 is to be used on roads constructed with soil-cement base, which entails placing 1.5” of Hot Open Grade Mix as a leveling course (See attachment “E”) and then placing 1” of FC-9.5 (Fine), Traffic Level C, with PG 76-22 Asphalt Binder (binder) per FDOT Section 334-2. Milling at driveways will be performed as needed. Method 2, for non-soil cement-based roads, consists of placing an average of 1”, depending on condition of the road, turnout, or intersections as determined by the County, of FC-9.5 (Fine) with PG 76-22 binder per FDOT Section 334. The asphalt to be provided for the project shall be FDOT pre-approved and identified on the current FDOT Asphalt Mix Design Plant Assignment Sheet. Work includes, but is not limited to, exposing and cleaning edge of existing pavement, milling, paving, temporary and permanent pavement markings, redressing, installing new R.P.M.s, shoulder grading (contractor is responsible for providing positive drainage away from the roadway surface), sodding, and other items as specified in the Contract Documents for approximately 34 miles of roadway in Citrus County, Florida. The County reserves the right to adjust the award, and to add or remove roads and/or bid quantities, as it deems necessary. Bidders and/or Subcontractors must be pre-qualified by the Florida Department of Transportation and submit a copy of the FDOT Pre-Qualification Documentation at the time of Bid Submittal for: • Grading • Grassing, Seeding, and Sodding • Hot Plant-Mixed Bituminous Courses. The Services of the Successful Bidder shall be substantially completed within one hundred and twenty (120) days after start date set forth in the Notice to proceed, and all work shall be Finally Completed within one hundred and fifty (150) days after start date set forth in the Notice to proceed.
