The work under this contract consists of the resurfacing of Route 44 (Taunton Avenue) in the Town of Seekonk from Peck Street at STA 80+00 (mile marker +/-1.24) continuing easterly to the Rehoboth Town line at STA 0+00 (mile marker +/-2.75). The total project length is approximately 8,000 feet or 1.51 miles. The work under this contract includes, but is not limited to, asphalt milling of Route 44 to a depth of 2 inches and resurfacing with 2 inches of HMA Gap Graded Asphalt Rubber – HMA-ARGG. Other work includes: replacement of berm along the gutter line of Route 44, construction of a 5’ wide sidewalk with vertical granite curb and wheelchair ramps at the intersection of Lincoln Street, reconstruction of driveways and paved water ways, installation of hook-lock type drainage structure frames and grates and bolt-down frame and covers, cleaning of existing drainage structures, adjustment, remodeling and rebuilding of existing drainage structures, removal and replacement of existing damaged or non compliant guardrail panels, posts and end treatments, installation of flashing warning beacon at the intersection of Lincoln St, installation of traffic signing, installation of reflectorized pavement markings, implementation of traffic management for temporary traffic control, and other incidental work as directed by the Engineer to complete the project. Prequalification with MassDOT in Pavement-Surfacing required. DBE goal is 14%. Bonds and prevailing wages.
