This project will construct a new facility that will be used as a business incubator. It is anticipated that the facility will be roughly 5,000 square feet and built to accommodate 12 business clients. The facility will be fitted to include technological improvements such as keyless entry, video conferencing, remote security monitoring, etc. to enable the building to operate as an extension of the current incubator in Statesboro. The Architectural Consultant will be expected to work collaboratively with the Owner in developing project programming and master planning for the project site. The prospective Consultant will provide Architectural services to include Project Design, Project Award, and Construction Administration as described below including programming, conceptual layouts, funding assistance, design services as necessary to provide the Owner with construction documents sufficient to meet the needs of the project, all sub-consultant services as may be required, assistance with the bid process, assistance with all applicable permitting, periodic construction inspection and construction contract administration, assistance with pay application review, closeout documents and attendance at applicable meetings. The Consultant will work closely with other partners to meet the needs of the Authority. For contracts over $150,000, a 5% bid bond and 100% performance bond and payment bond required is required. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
