RFP - CEQA Support for Tank Removal, Soil Remediation, and Garage Demo at the Borel Property, Danville CA

The East Bay Regional Park District (Park District) is seeking a qualified CEQA consultant to prepare the appropriate CEQA documentation for the removal of an underground storage tank (UST), the remediation of contaminated soil surrounding that UST, and the demolition of a ca. 1923 garage, which is a contributing element to a district recommended eligible to the California Register of Historical Resources (CRHR). The project site is approximately 7 acres located at 3020 Fostoria Way, Danville California, and is known as the Borel Property (APN 218-090-033). The UST is estimated to be 550 gallons, and the soil to be remediated is an estimated minimum volume of 600 cubic yards. The property is currently managed by the Park District under land bank status, and as such, is not open to the public.Phase I and II have already bee completed. The Park Disrict staff have determined an initial Studuy/Mitigated Negative Delaration is appropriate level of CEQ review to demolish the structure which iis intended to be completed by June of 2023 and needs to complete the CEQA analysis not later than May of 2023. The Consultant will have wo main tasks: Strategy Review and Review by preparing appropriate CEQA document. Bonds required.
