The San Bernardino County, Public Works Department (County), is seeking Proposals from interested and qualified Proposers to provide Materials Testing services, which includes testing and observation during construction of Santa Ana River Trail Phase III. Due to the size and nature of this project the intent of this RFP is to select a consultant for this project that is separate from any establish “on-call” lists. This request is open to all firms that are qualified and capable of performing the work, whether or not the firm is currently part of any on-call list with the County for similar services. Services to be provided under this Request for Proposals (RFP) are outlined under Section V, Scope of Work. The Contract period will be for a maximum of five (5) years beginning when approved by the County Board of Supervisors and ending a year after the completion of the project, or five (5) years after the approval date whichever is sooner. Santa Ana River Trail, Phase III Project site is located in the cities of San Bernardino and Redlands along the south levee of the river between Waterman Ave. and California St. Additionally, the proposed scope of services will likely require the consultant to travel to local material suppliers (material plants and potential import site locations). While a Good Faith Effort is mentioned several times, DBE Goal is set to 0%. Prevailing wages.
