The General Education building is intended to be a new three-story classroom and office building. The building will located to the east of the existing Physical Education Building and south of the existing central plant. The design program includes: (14) classrooms, (9) lecture classrooms, (2) instructional labs, 2,550 A.S.F. of Faculty Office Space, 300 A.S.F. of Meeting Space and 1,200 A.S.F. of Adjunct Faculty Office Space, for a total of 26,650 A.S.F., or 41,000 G.S.F. A promenade will be designed in the location of the existing access road and a outside gathering area will be designed to the north of the building to allow outside, informal gathering. The project will also include new landscape and hardscape areas between the new building and the existing Physical Education Building. DBE goals. Q&A due by 06/12/20.
