The Town of Holly Springs has been awarded grant funding from NCDEQ to assist in the completion of an Asset Inventory for the Town’s water and wastewater, including reclaimed water, systems. The Town seeks statements of qualifications from NC licensed professional engineering firms to assist with this Asset Inventory. The Town of Holly Springs (Town) serves approximately 40,000 users for their water needs, with water supplied by the Cape Fear River via a wholesale contract with Harnett County. Currently, Holly Springs can supply 10 million gallons per day (MGD) of potable water to its residences and businesses. Water from the Harnett County Regional Water Treatment Plant is conveyed to the Town’s distribution system via a 30-inch transmission line owned by Holly Springs. The Town’s distribution system operates with a single pressure zone and is composed of distribution lines ranging in diameter from 1-inch to 30-inches, one booster pump station, and three elevated storage tanks. The Town also has one reuse tank that supplies non-potable water for industrial cooling and irrigation. Scope: The Asset Inventory of the Town’s Water System may include, but not limited to, the following aspects of the project: A. Water System 1. Complete inventory of water system • Assess current mapping and system data. • Complete a thorough survey and assessment of system components. • Risk based Prioritization of assets. • Life-cycle Modeling of assets. • Identify assets and attributes utilizing as-built records, field verification, and other methods, as needed. • Plans/record drawing scanning, if needed. 2. Update GIS and asset inventory system, Cityworks • Update GIS and Cityworks for ongoing management. • Adjust attribute fields and structure to ensure accurate, accessible data. 3. Create Final Report • Document efforts, findings, and methods. • Compile results of work into final report.
