The County of Merced (County) is seeking a qualified Design-Build Entity (D-BE) to design and construct a new Sheriff's Administration and Operations Building. This Project will design and construct a new Sherrif's Administration and Operations Building on the county-owned property (location to be determined). The Project includes a new Sherriff's Administration Building up to 36,000 SF Guaranteed Maximum Construction Cost (GMP) of $24,000,000 and exploring master plan options for 34,000 SF to relocate the Coroners Division Evidence Division and Special Operations Vehicle Storage. The Administration building is constructed of durable materials suitable for a county office government building environment. Additionally, the downtown jail and sheriff's administration building will need to be demolished when the new jail replacement project currently underway is completed.
