The work under this contract is located in the City of Westfield, Massachusetts: Western Avenue/Court Street: from Lloyds Hill Road to Holcomb Street. West Silver Street: from Western Avenue to approximately 100 feet east of Mill Street. Lloyds Hill Road: from approximately 30 feet north of Mountainview Street to Route 20 Russel Road. The work shall consist of the following: full-depth pavement reconstruction along Western Avenue and Court Street from Fairview Avenue to Baystate Noble Hospital for approximately 1.1 miles. Full-depth pavement reconstruction for 973 feet along Lloyds Hill Road from Mountainview Street to Russell Road (Route 20). Roadway widening and pavement overlay for approximately 700 feet on West Silver Street from Western Avenue to Mill Street. Drainage system improvements consisting of new catch basins and yard drains. Water main improvements on Western Avenue, Court Street, and West Silver Street. Water main, gas main, and underground electrical installations on Lloyds Hill Road. Traffic signal improvements at specified locations. American with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements. Construction of modified hot mix asphalt (HMA) curb and granite curb in specified areas. Application of pavement markings and installation of signs. New concrete sidewalk along the southern side of Western Avenue and West Silver Street. New 10’ shared-use cement concrete path along the north side of Western Avenue and Court Street. Placement of loam borrow and seed in disturbed areas. Other incidental work to complete the project. Prequalification with MassDOT in Highway-Construction is required. DBE goal is 14%. Bonds and prevailing wages
