The City of Charlottesville is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors to perform roof inspections and cleaning service at city owned and managed facilities on an as-needed basis and emergency basis. Roof Inspection Services: Non-destructive field investigations and visual roof inspection to be performed once a year. All patches checked for adhesion, all flashing checked for splits and sealing needs. Roofing material shall be inspected to verify if the material is deteriorating or failing. This includes all types of roofing materials. Roof Cleaning Services: Clean drains, scuppers, and gutters of foreign material. All debris is to be bagged and removed and disposed of properly. It is anticipated that drains are to be cleaned once in the spring, once in the fall, and on an as needed basis after a major weather event, to be determined by the Contract Administrator.
