Work under this item shall be performed according to Section 724 of the IDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction and the current City of Chicago Department of Transportation Manual for Sign Installation, except as herein modified. This work shall consist of removing, storing in a safe location, and relocating sign only or sign panel and pole assemblies or pole assembly only to a new location as shown on the plans and/or work order or as directed by the Commissione. Existing sing or sign panel and pole assemblies or pole assembly which must be removed and relocated where directed consist of sign panels, poles in ground, base mounted poles, poles that are embedded in concrete, the mounted sign panels, sleeves, wedges, bases and other associated hardware. The Contractor must remove the sign panels and hardware from the locations indicated in such a manner that the materials are not damaged by the Contractor’s work. In the case of removal of a pole installed in a parkway, the Contractor must fill and compact the hole with an approved fill material such as FA2 at no additional cost to the City. In the case of removal of base mounted poles installed in sidewalk, the extruding bolts will be sawed flush to the sidewalk surface immediately, regardless of whether the sidewalk is planned for later reconstruction .The project is located at the following intersections with a brief description of the improvements to be performed at each intersection:Roosevelt Rd/Western Ave – Wireless interconnect. Roosevelt Rd/Ogden Ave – Wireless interconnect and LED upgrade. Roosevelt Rd/Damen Ave – Wireless interconnect and ATC upgrade. Roosevelt Rd/Wood St – Wireless interconnect, ATC upgrade, and APS. Roosevelt Rd/Paulina St – Wireless interconnect, ATC and cabinet upgrade. Roosevelt Rd/Ashland Ave – Wireless interconnect, LED upgrade, and ATC upgrade. Roosevelt Rd/Loomis St – Full traffic signal modernization. Roosevelt Rd/Racine Ave – Wireless interconnect and ATC upgrade. Roosevelt Rd/Blue Island Ave – Full traffic signal modernization. Roosevelt Rd/Morgan St – Full traffic signal modernization. Roosevelt Rd/UIC Ped – Wireless interconnect, ATC and cabinet upgrade. Roosevelt Rd/Halsted St – Wireless interconnect. Roosevelt Rd/Union Ave – Wireless interconnect, ATC and cabinet upgrade. Roosevelt Rd/Ruble St/Des Plaines St – Wireless interconnect and ATC upgrade. Roosevelt Rd/Jefferson St – Wireless interconnect, LED upgrade, and ATC upgrade. Roosevelt Rd/Clinton St – Wireless interconnect and ATC upgrade. Roosevelt Rd/Canal St – Wireless interconnect. Roosevelt Rd/Delano Ct – Wireless interconnect and ATC upgrade. Roosevelt Rd/Clark St – Wireless interconnect, LED upgrade, and ATC upgrade. Roosevelt Rd/State St – Wireless interconnect and ATC upgrade. Roosevelt Rd/Wabash Ave – Wireless interconnect and ATC upgrade. Roosevelt Rd/Michigan Ave – Wireless interconnect. Roosevelt Rd/Indiana Ave – Wireless interconnect, ATC and cabinet upgrade. Roosevelt Rd/Columbus Dr – Wireless interconnect, ATC and cabinet upgrade.
