Citrus County, Florida (“County”) invites interested parties to submit a Bid to provide complete construction of the Sea Otter Path Sewer Addition Project along South Garcia Road and Sea Otter Path to include installation of a combined gravity/low-pressure sewage collection system in the Sea Otter Path neighborhood that is currently being serviced by individual on-site sewage treatment systems. This project includes the construction of a PVC service lateral connection to approximately seven (7) active or future residential septic systems, PVC gravity collection mains, duplex grinder pump station and small diameter HDPE force main and will allow approximately 92 homes with existing septic tanks along the Homosassa River, to connect to Citrus County`s wastewater system, where flows will be routed to the Meadowcrest Wastewater Treatment Plant for treatment. All work shall be in accordance with the construction plans, special provisions, and contract documents. The primary goal of this project is to improve water quality on the Homosassa River and Springshed by providing sanitary sewer service to areas adjacent to Sea Otter Path. Aging septic tanks currently serving this area have been identified by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection as a major cause of deteriorating water quality in the Homosassa Springshed and may also adversely impact the quality of private drinking water wells. Insurance Required. Bid Bond Required.
