The pre-bid conference will start at the DeFazio Field (Carleton Pavilion) located at 380 Dedham Ave. After the tour of the Carleton Pavilion building has ended, bidders will be offered the opportunity to visit Claxton Field, Cricket Field and Mills Field. Bidders will be asked to follow, in their own vehicles, if they wish to tour those facilities. Bidders will be asked to check-in at the beginning of the meeting. The Town anticipates that this process may take an hour to complete. Please confirm your intention to attend the pre-bid conference by calling (781) 455-7500 X280 during normal business hours (Monday – Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM) or emailing pcentral@needhamma.gov. The Town seeks seasonal building cleaning services with varying schedules for four (4) Park and Recreation facilities. The contract term will be approximately for three years (ends March 1, 2024). The cleaning must be completed in a manner not to disrupt normal parks functions as determined by the Town. The Town also requests cleaning services at all locations ever Memorial Day. The facilities are currently being cleaned by Four Seasons, LLC. The three-year contract which expires on June 30, 2021 was valued at $75,770.06 for the Carleton Pavilion, Claxton Field, the Cricket Field and the Mills Field buildings. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, supplies, and tools as are required for undertaking cleaning services for the facilities under contract. The equipment must be pre-approved by the Town before it is introduced to the buildings. The Contractor shall use environmentally safe cleaning products certified by a qualifying green seal agency. The Contractor will also provide all the consumable products, such as paper towels, toilet paper, and trash bags. The days, hours, and time of year for cleaning the facilities vary over the course of the year. Actual hours will be confirmed for each facility by the Director of Park and Recreation. Employees are required to complete all required items as outlined in Minimum Standards for Cleaning Park and Recreation Facilities (section 2.03). Deadline for questions is April 15, 2021 by 12:00pm.
