The project will consist of landfill Cell 11 as base bid and construction of both cells (Cell 11 &12A) as a bid alternate. The construction period for Cell 11 will be 210 days from the notice to proceed to substantial completion and an additional 30 days to final completion. If the bid alternate for Cell 12A is selected, the construction period for both Cell 11 and 12A will be 270 days to substantial and an additional 30 days to final. The expansion consists of approximately 10 acres for Cell 11 & 6 acres for Cell 12A, including, but not limited to, site preparation, grading, placement of the liner system, placement of the soil cover systems, associated haul/access road, stormwater management systems, leachate collection piping, sump and pumps, electrical and control panels, and rain tarp with County coordination. If bid alternate for Cell 11 and Cell 12A is selected, the total project must be completed within 300 days of notice to proceed. Fill soil for the preparation of the subgrade and protective cover shall be supplied from on-site borrow sources and topsoil will be supplied from off-site borrow source by the contractor. DBE/MBE goal 10%. Prequalification required.
