Gwinnett County Shoal Creek Raw Water Pump Station, 1620 Buford Dam Road Buford GA 30518
The pumps provide raw water to the Lanier Filter Plant (LFP). This project includes replacing the existing pumps motors to improve the reliability of the pumping system and refurbishing the existing pumps. Work includes the removal of existing 2500 hp, synchronous type pump motors and installation of new 2500 hp, induction type pump motors; removal and replacement of all conductors associated with the motor and controls; replacing all flex conduit with new at the motor/pump area to extend to the new equipment; providing new reverse rotation electronic monitor for interface to the existing motor starter controls; removal of existing reduced voltage auto-transformer (RVAT) type motor starters with associated synchronous controls and installation of new reduced voltage solid state (RVSS) motor starters; concrete equipment pad extension for new motor starter as required; relocation of the existing control panel section forward to match the face of the RVSS; removal and proper disposal of all materials, motor, conductors, etc.; rehabilitation of four (4) pumps; improvements to the discharge valve hydraulic units including installation of second gas bottle, second piston accumulator, associated valves, tubing and fittings; other piping mechanical, electrical and instrumentation improvements; testing and start up to construct the Shoal Creek Raw Water Pump Stations (SCRWPS) Lanier Filter Plant (LFP) Pump System Improvements complete in place, ready to operate, and as shown on the Drawings and Specifications. All Bidders are required to submit a Bid Bond or a certified check made payable to the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. The Bid Bond or certified check must be enclosed in the envelope with the sealed bid.
