This project is for the construction of Shuster Way Heritage Trail in Bedford Borough and Bedford Township in Bedford County. The Shuster Way Heritage Trail parallels the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River with the trail starting at the southern end of the project located in Bedford Borough at the intersection of North Davidson Street and SR 4010 (Lincoln Way) and the trail head at the northern end of the project located in Bedford Township where the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River crosses Sawblade Road at Old Bedford Village approximately 0.02 miles west of its intersection with US Business 220 (North Richard Street). Two (2) pedestrian structures will be constructed as a part of this trail crossing an Unnamed Tributary to the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River and the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River. Approximately 1.80 miles of trail will be constructed adjacent to the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River as indicated on the approved drawings included in the bid package for State Route 0000, Section BHT, in Bedford County, Bedford Township, Bedford Borough at the locations indicated on the plan. Prequalification required. DBE goal 10%.
