This project consists of the replacement of existing vaulted belowground backflow devices, in multiple locations throughout the District, within the Cities of Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake, and Wildomar. The primary work involves removing existing single check backflow devices within vaults and replacing them with above ground double check backflow devices. Seventeen (17) devices will need to be relocated to allow for raising above ground as they are located in traveled paths. The existing vaults will be demolished and the surface will be restored to match the surrounding area. Before reinstating the fire service, the pipe and backflow devices will be disinfected and tested. The Contractor is responsible for filing and payment of any necessary permits, traffic control and all work shown on the Contract Documents. Only general contractors who have been pre-qualified with EVMWD for the current fiscal year may bid on this project on the advertised bid date. Project duration is 180 calendar days. Questions are due no later than 4:00 PM on May 4th. Bonds required. Prevailing wages apply.
