Work to be done consists in general of the following items: In-truss modernization for four (4) separate escalators to include installing new upper and lower new tracks, new motors, new controls, gearing, new steps and handrails and all Code-required safety string switches. Install new stainless steel cladding for the finishes similar to the existing cladding. Modernize two (2) hydraulic elevators serving the public to include replacement of the existing elevator control systems with new microprocessor-based controls, new hydraulic tank, new closed loop door operators, new LED car and hall fixtures, and new cab interiors. Perform necessary code compliance upgrades and retain, recondition and reuse various existing mechanical and structural components as deemed practical per the information contained in the project Specifications. This project is located at the South Bay Regional Center (SBRC) located at 500 Third Avenue, Chula Vista, California 91910. DVBE goals apply.
